Tata & Howard has added a new professional accreditation to its credentials. Jack O’Connell received notification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) that he passed the examination required to become a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). USGBC is the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.
Jack, an expert in water and wastewater treatment, has become a certified LEED AP to assist Tata & Howard in integrating “green” building techniques into our water and wastewater treatment facility designs. LEED designs use strategies that result in energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and minimized impacts on resources. In addition, our clients will see long term cost savings and improved building performance throughout the building life cycle when LEED strategies are implemented.
