Pump Efficiency
Tata & Howard offers Pump/Motor Energy Efficiency System Optimization Services (Pump SOS) which includes wire to water efficiency analysis of pump stations.
The main goal is to reduce operations & maintenance pumped power expenses. The process involves conducting field measurements at the pump stations for flow, pressures, amperage, voltage and power factor. This information is compared to as-built information for the existing pumps and pumping system. We evaluate the pumps and the pumping system to see where they are operating relative to their Best Efficiency Point (BEP).
In addition, we provide an independent expert inspection of the stations, looking and listening for less obvious symptoms of inefficient pump operation. The payback period for recommended improvements is short, typically less than two years.
